Super Mario Bros., often abbreviated to Super Mario or SMB, is a platform game developed by Nintendo Entertainment System.
In Super Mario Bros., Italian plumber Mario must save Princess Peach (Princess Toadstoal in the US version) of the Mushroom Kingdom from the evil Bowser, king of the Koopas. In two-player mode, Mario is aided in his quest by his brother Luigi.
As of 2008, Super Mario Bros., is the best selling video game of all time (selling over 40 million copies to date).
